Job Description

domilya GROUP have immediate openings for skilled Carpenters and Framers. As a Skilled Carpenter, you will be part of an ambitious and hard-working team. You will play a supporting role directly under a Project Manager for an established renovation and construction business based out of Halton and Peel. The role is physical, and no two jobs are ever the same, which keeps things interesting. We are looking for a long-term career driven person, not just a job seeker:

  • You will work hands on to complete jobs for homeowners
  • You will be responsible for producing a high-quality job, in a respectful and professional manner
  • You will interact daily with homeowners and other tradesmen
  • You will need to get yourself to and from the jobsite on time with your own transportation
  • You will be expected to stay one step ahead and always ask questions when unsure of something


  • Producing demolition, framing, and finishing work in a safe planned manner
  • Reading construction plans and visualizing a final product
  • Layout and framing of wall structures
  • Installation of windows and doors
  • Installation of finish trim work such as baseboard, door casing and crown molding
  • Installation of cabinetry
  • Assisting other tradesmen
  • Organizing and cleaning job site
  • Operating power tools

Qualifications / Education

  • You must have 4-7 years of renovations experience and the confidence to lead and complete basic tasks
  • You must be experienced and highly skilled in both rough and finish carpentry, also must be experienced in drywall, flooring, tiling, painting, demolition, door and window installation, etc.
  • You must have experience in residential framing
  • You must be experienced to carry out rough framing for new additions, including new sub-floor, new walls, new roof trusses
  • You must have an AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate


  • Valid driver’s license and a vehicle
  • Speak fluent English
  • Be physically fit and able to work hard 44+ hours a week
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • Must have experience with doors, base/case, stairs, moldings and hardware (final adjustments)

  • You must own basic hand tools and a pouch as well as steel toed boots
  • You must have knowledge in construction and operating power tools
  • You must be able to work independently and work as a team
